There are three ferries that bring you to Ocracoke Island - the Hatteras, the Cedar Island and the Swan Quarter Ferry. Reservations are required for CI & SQ.
Built in 1873, the Ocracoke Lighthouse has a beam that can be seen 14 miles out to sea. It's the oldest lighthouse in North Carolina, & the 2nd oldest in the nation.
The beautiful pristine beach, offers opportunities for strolling hand in hand, looking for shells, fishing or just sun-bathing.
