      First opened in 1959, the Sand Dollar Motel has been providing visitors with a place to stay for over 60 years!   

     Jill and Rick Gunter, bought the motel in August of 2015.  

     We have weathered power outages, bridge closures, Nor'easters, and hurricanes and came back strong!  

     We have been able to take our well loved, solid built motel that was severely damaged by Hurricane Dorian in 2019 and turn it into a gem.  We wanted to make sure the rooms are comfortable and very clean.  Our motel is our heart and soul because there are very few family owned motels left on the island.
